United Way Pillars Society of Will County
Leaders in Giving

Members of the Pillars Society of Will County are people who demonstrate the power of giving by investing in their community with gifts of $1,000 or more.  These leaders' giving has a major impact in our community.  More money is available for vital services, more people are helped, more people are inspired to give.

Leadership giving is an opportunity to act as a role model and inspire giving in your friends, family and co-workers.  Every leadership gift to United Way of Will County is an investment in our community.  When you give, you are investing in children and youth, strengthening families, empowering seniors and disabled, meeting emergency needs and promoting health and wellness.

At the heart of every good and significant human effort, we find a leadership group that gives the organization the strength, character, purpose and longevity that distinguishes it from all others.  The Will County area draws its strength and character from this unique leadership group.

Who are these leaders?  They are people like you - people who care about our community, who are positive, who commit to tough goals and reach them, who have both motivation and the means to provide for their community and who inspire friends, peers and associates to follow their example.  They are Pillars Society members.

The commitment and generosity of our Leadership Givers help United Way of Will County make a positive impact on the quality of life in Will County.

These individuals annually give personal gifts of $1,000 or more to help make a significant difference in the lives of more than 300,000 men, women and children in our county each year.

The Pillars Society of Will County was founded during the 1996/1997 United Way Campaign under the leadership of Mr. Kevin Reardon,  Chairman, First National Bank of Joliet. Leadership Givers represent a level of giving that is committed to the continued care of our community.  Leadership Giving continues to increase and has become the fastest growing segment with United Way campaigns nationally.

Each Pillars Society member receives a personalized Pillars Society medallion. This beautiful, and-crafted medallion pays tribute to the giver’s commitment to the mission of United Way of Will County. This medallion will serve as a visual reminder of the role each member personally plays in improving the lives of individuals in our community.
